I have always adored London, its culture, its energy and lifestyle. I naturally wanted to open a restaurant in London – to integrate myself into the community, discover a new way of working, a different sensitivity and a new type of creativity.Cyril Lignac
Situated in the heart of Mayfair, Bar des Prés is the first international venture from acclaimed chef Cyril Lignac and is an evolved version of the original Saint-Germain restaurant. A chic, cosmopolitan and vibrant concept that combines the French know-how, the London energy and Japanese individuality.

His story is one of passion born in the south of France. A one-of-a-kind career guided by fortunate encounters, hard work and an irrepressible desire to please.
In 2005, he was spotted by a television producer, and joined the “Oui, Chef!” adventure until he opened his first restaurant. The venue was awarded a star in the Michelin Guide then closed after 15 years to make way for new adventures.
His TV career went from strength to strength with successful shows including Le Meilleur Pâtissier (a French version of The Great British Bake Off) and Tous en Cuisine, which launched during the Spring 2020 lockdown. His entertaining, yet educational approach to food had led him to write many cook books, selling over 4 million copies. These numerous successes have made him France’s best-known chef and a favourite with the French public.
Cyril Lignac unveils his talents as a restaurateur-entrepreneur by opening new restaurants, each with a unique identity. From classic bistro-style restaurants that respect tradition while always staying in tune with the times, to more distinctive, almost couture-style establishments with a local and international flair.
At the same time, he created La Pâtisserie & La Chocolaterie Cyril Lignac with Pastry Chef Benoit Couvrand, offering seasonal entremets, increasingly modern classics, exceptional bread, take-away chocolates, and lovingly addictive sweet bears…
Cyril Lignac has as much fun inventing as he does reinventing, showcasing a classic Parisian repertoire, conscientiously visiting new territories and adding sparkle to those festive evenings that stretch longer into the night. The lettering on the shop fronts, the choice of lighting, the seat fabric, the development of dishes and pastries, and the composition of teams: every factor is taken on board as they all reflect the spirit of the venue in their own way.
A discerning palate paired with an impeccable technique, Cyril Lignac’s cuisine is rich with French culinary heritage crossed with a curiosity for the wealth of foreign cuisines.
